State Contacts & Partnerships

We work with States, Tribes, Counties, and other local agencies and organizations in our effort to protect underground sources of drinking water. Some state agencies we work in partnership with are Primacy state agencies who run EPA approved UIC programs. When a state does not have an approved UIC program, USEPA does Direct Implementation of that program. In these instances, USEPA directly regulates the injection wells.
