Combined Billing FOIA Requests
Combined Billing is a method of incorporating the costs incurred from processing FOIA inquiries from more than one Office or Division into a single bill. Charges are applicable from each area involved in answering the FOIA request. Each processing area will provide a separate response to the requestor. However, when the Superfund Division is involved in answering the request, along with other Offices and/or Divisions, the Superfund Division will serve as the lead and generate the final bill to the requestor.
Search, review, and computer time must be charged for each response along
with the number of pages copied. If the total cost associated with responding
to the request is under $25, the requestor is not billed. If the total
cost exceeds $25, a final Bill for Collection is prepared by the Superfund
Division's FOIA Coordinator and forwarded to the requestor.
