Quality Assurance
The Field Services Section (FSS) staff review and approve quality assurance project plans to ensure that all data collection activities are covered by appropriate documentation. All quality assurance project plans for Region 5 must follow the Instructions on the Preparation of a Superfund Division Quality Assurance Project Plan (Revision 0), June 2000. Audits of laboratories for technical and contractual compliance, and on-site audits of field activities for consistency with quality assurance objectives are also conducted by FSS staff. Reviews of analytical data for technical and contractual completeness and accuracy is also provided.
Superfund Division Quality Assurance Management Plan
The Superfund Division Quality Assurance Management Plan (PDF) (49 pgs., 469 K, About PDF) is prepared and updated by FSS staff. The document reflects the ways in which quality assurance activities are conducted by Superfund Division staff and management.
