Devon Gas Services, L.P. in Godley, TX

On July 22, 2010, Devon Gas Services, L.P. in Godley, TX, was issued an order for a violation of the Clean Air Act. The violation found consists of an unpermitted release of an extremely hazardous substance; specifically methane.

On August 5, 2010, Devon Gas Services, L.P. completed the required repairs.

Before

July 2010: Inspection at a major source Gas Plant in Johnson County, Texas. A leaking tank hatch is observed and determined to be an unpermitted emission. Note that the visible photo (l) fails to show the emissions. The video image (r) taken with the Forward Looking Infra-Red (FLIR™) camera clearly shows the emissions.

After

 

A real-time enforcement action requiring the repair of the leaking hatch was issued. Several days later a follow-up inspection was completed. A new hatch has been installed (l) and no emissions are observed in the video image (r) taken with the Forward Looking Infra-Red (FLIR™) camera.
