Impaired Water Bodies in Oklahoma
The listing of water bodies which fail to meet water quality standards is required by section 303(d) of the Clean Water Act. Water bodies included on this list receive additional attention and resources to reduce pollution, protect public health, and provide for healthy aquatic life.
State of Oklahoma’s 2010 Clean Water Act §303(d) List
EPA is partially approving Oklahoma’s 2010 §303d list and deferring action on 52 water body segments. The agency and the state worked closely to finalize the 2010 list, representing a shared commitment to improving water quality.
