Amoco Focus Group Articles
The Amoco Focus Group, with the assistance of Terrie Boguski of Technical Outreach Services for Communities (TOSC), publishes information in the city's monthly newsletter. Terrie Boguski writes articles for the city's newsletter to help citizens of Sugar Creek develop a better understanding of the issues surrounding the former Amoco Refinery in Sugar Creek. The TOSC program provides technical assistance to more than 20 communities dealing with hazardous substance problems. Through the TOSC program, researchers and professionals in the hazardous substance field can help communities understand risk and health issues and the science and engineering involved in cleanup efforts. They also help community groups work with state agencies and the EPA.
