This map displays the following layers of spatial information:
-Iowa HUC8 Watersheds
-Unified Watershed Assessment
priority watersheds
-Total acres of Fish and Wildlife Partners for Wildlife
wetland restoration per HUC8 watershed.
The Fish and Wildlife Service wetland totals were listed for each section, township and range where restoration has been completed. The acreage totals were reported for years 1993 - 1999. Using the overlay analysis tools within EPA Region 7's GIS, these totals were aggregated to HUC8 watersheds. The new totals, now listed for each HUC8 watershed, were displayed using a natural breaks classification method within the GIS for mapping purposes.
