This map displays the following layers of spatial information:

    -Kansas HUC11 Watersheds
    -Unified Watershed Assessment priority watersheds
-Total acres of USDA Conservation Reserve Program wetland practices per HUC11 watershed.

CRP is a program of the Farm Services Agency (FSA) which is an agency within the USDA (U.S. Department of Agriculture).  Click here for information on CRP.  Data used in this map to display CRP acres was received from FSA.   The CRP wetland practices included in this data are CP9 - Shallow Water Areas for Wildlife and CP23 - Wetland Restoration.  This data had total acres per year for the following years: 1992, and 1996 - 2000.   These yearly totals were summed for each HUC11 watershed to gain a total acreage of CRP wetland practices.  The total was classified within the GIS using a natural break classification method.
