FWS Partners for Wildlife Wetland Restoration and UWA Priorities within Kansas

This map displays the following layers of spatial information:

    -Kansas HUC11 Watersheds
    -Unified Watershed Assessment priority watersheds
    -Total acres of Fish and Wildlife Partners for Wildlife wetland restoration practices per HUC11 watershed.

The Fish and Wildlife Service wetland totals were listed for each section, township and range where restoration has been completed. Totals were reported for years 1993 - 1999. Using the overlay analysis tools within EPA Region 7's GIS, these totals were aggregated to HUC11 watersheds. The new totals, now listed for each HUC11 watershed, were displayed using a natural breaks classification method within the GIS for mapping purposes.
