Kansas Wetland Reserve Program Wetland Practices and Unified Watershed Assessment Priorities
This map displays the following layers of spatial information:
-Kansas HUC11 Watersheds
-Unified Watershed Assessment
priority watersheds
-Total acres of USDA Wetland Reserve Program wetland
practices per HUC11 watershed.
WRP is a program of the Natural Resources Conservation
Service (NRCS) which is an agency withing the USDA (U.S. Department of
Agriculture). Click here 
for information on WRP. Data used in this map to display WRP acres
was received from NRCS. This data had total acres per year
for the years 1993, and 1995 - 1999. These yearly totals were
summed for each HUC11 watershed to gain a total acreage of WRP wetland
practices. The total was classified within the GIS using a natural break
classification method.
