SIP Key Terms and Contact Information

Adoption Date: Describes when the requirement was adopted by the state. In some cases the Effective Date is used instead of the Adoption Date. Generally, the effective date is a short period after the adoption date. If the Effective Date is used, a note appears at the end of the entry.

Submittal Date: Describes when the requirement was submitted to EPA by the Governor or his/her designee.

Final FR Date: The publication date of EPA's final rulemaking notice, published in the Federal Register. EPA's approval generally becomes effective 30 to 60 days after publication.

FR Citation: References the page number of the rulemaking notice in the Federal Register.
