EPA Region 8 Environmental Analysis Documents (NEPA Compliance)
Most EPA Region 8 NEPA compliance activities are for Special Appropriation Act Projects (SAAP), which are earmarks to communities for waste water, drinking water, and stormwater infrastructure improvements. We also conduct environmental reviews for new surface water discharge permits on tribal lands under the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES). (EPA also has this responsibility when the NPDES permit program has not been delegrated to the state, however all Region 8 states have been delegated.)
