Children's Environmental Health Team
Because children are so vulnerable to environmental problems, Region 8 is working
with the national Office of Children's Health Protection to address children's
environmental health issues. The Region has created the Children's Environmental
Health (CEH) Team in order to implement EPA's commitment to protect children from
environmental health hazards in our Region. The main focus of the team is to share
information and resources across programs and closely coordinate our activities
in order to maximize our limited resources and better serve our communities. The
goal of the CEH Team is to ensure that regional programs and activities are responsive
to the increased risks to our children. Key partners in these efforts include
federal, state, tribal, local and international environmental, health, safety,
education and housing agencies and departments, non-governmental children environmental
health organizations, and the general public.
