The Region VIII Federal Partners Workgroup was originally formed during the US Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary’s Prevention Campaign/Challenge (“A Healthier US Starts Here”) in 2007. The workgroup, which is led by HHS, meets approximately every 4-6 weeks to maintain regular communication, share outreach events and activities, discuss campaigns and initiatives, and provide Agency updates. Workgroup members look for opportunities to collaborate, market programs to stakeholders with similar audiences/populations, and work together on complimentary initiatives. In order to continually be the best stewards of public funds, the group works to maximize efficiencies, work smarter, and more creatively together, to reach and serve the public (providers, consumers, partners, advocates and stakeholders).
