Reference Services
All visitors may use library materials inhouse. These include: microfiche, books, maps, journals,and EPA's Online Catalog (OLS).
Reference Service for the public includes:
- On-site ready reference
- Introduction to finding information within the library
- Brief explanation of how to use the available technologies
- Referral to other EPA information sources
- Information on how to order EPA publications
- Limited microfiche printing and photocopying
- Materials may be borrowed through Interlibrary Loan, initiated by the user's local library
- Group tours are arranged by appointment
Reference Service for EPA Staff includes:
- Catalog searching instruction - Online Library System (OLS)
- CD-ROM instruction and preparation of search aids/handouts
- Preparation of bibliographies
- Literature searches using online resources
- Library tours and demonstrations
- Interlibrary Loan service for materials not owned by the library
- Referral to other agencies
- Referral to other EPA information sources
- Information on how to order EPA publications
