CWA 104(b)(3) Grant Funding

With the passing of the Clean Water Act, CWA, the United States (US) committed to improving or maintaining water quality in the waters of the US.  The CWA makes available grant dollars to continue the research in identifying innovative projects that will either reduce or eliminate pollution in the waters of the US including Tribal lands.  The EPA disburses the grant dollars under the authority of the CWA, Section 104(b)(3).  State, tribal, and local governments as well as non-profits and accredited schools are eligible to apply for these grant dollars to fund water quality projects.  In the years of 2000 and 2001, EPA awarded over $1,600,000.00 CWA dollars to fund water quality projects.  In 2002, EPA will award $800,000.00 to continue the implementation of the Clean Water Act.
