EPA funds research grants and graduate fellowships for nanotechnology research through a competitive solicitation process and independent peer review. The support engages the nation's best scientists and engineers in targeted research that complements EPA's research programs. The grants and fellowship programs are managed by the National Center for Environmental Research (NCER) in EPA's Office of Research and Development.
