Chemical Exposure and Cumulative Risk

There are biological responses in humans and animals that indicate exposure to a chemical, an effect from exposure to a chemical and susceptibility to adverse effects from a chemical. EPA is researching these biological responses to develop tools to help predict health and environmental outcomes from chemical exposure. They are also assessing the potential human health and environmental outcomes that may occur due to multiple and continuous exposures to chemicals, with a focus on those chemicals found in consumer products.
