Waste/Materials Management - Industrial Non-Hazardous Waste
Sustainability Resources

  • Construction and Demolition (C&D) Materials: C&D materials are generated during the construction, renovation, and demolition of buildings, roads, and bridges. Reducing, reusing, and recycling C&D materials conserves landfill space, reduces the environmental impact of producing new materials, creates jobs, and can reduce overall building project expenses through avoided purchase/disposal costs. EPA provides comprehensive information on reducing and managing C&D materials

  • Coal Combustion Products Partnership (C2P2) program is a cooperative effort between the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, American Coal Ash Association, Utility Solid Waste Activities Group, US Department of Energy, US Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Research Service, US Federal Highway Administration, and Electric Power Research Institute to help promote the beneficial use of Coal Combustion Products (CCPs) and the environmental benefits that result from their use. CCPs are used in a variety of building applications
  • Used Oil: Used motor oil is insoluble, persistent in the environment and can contain toxic chemicals and heavy metals. EPA provides extensive information on proper management of used motor oil, including the "You Dump It, You Drink It" campaign. The campaign provides material focused on the automotive repair and service industry and consumers, including posters, reference cards and brochures. Materials are available in both Spanish and English
