Ambient Monitoring Quality Assurance Support for PM Speciation
The R&IE laboratory provide staff support to the Office of Air Quality Planning and Standards (OAQPS) for thier Speciation and IMPROVE networks. We provide field related quality assurance support by way of designing and delivering auditing training to regional, state, local and tribal government air monitoring staff and we provide the means for collecting, analyzing and disseminating auditing data to network managers. Furthermore, we assist the networks in addressing quality related network issues and work closely with state and local governmentsto solve these issues. Two areas of work that the Center staff provide support on is PM field auditing support and PAMS gas cylinder support.
