MATS

The Air Quality Modeling Group has developed the Modeled Attainment Test Software (MATS). MATS is a PC-based software tool that can perform the modeled attainment tests for particulate matter (PM2.5) and ozone (O3), and perform the uniform rate of progress analysis for regional haze (visibility). Detailed information on the recommended attainment tests can be found in U.S. EPA's modeling guidance, Guidance on the Use of Models and Other Analyses for Demonstrating Attainment of the Air Quality Goals for Ozone, PM2.5, and Regional Haze."

  • MATS version 1.5.1: Version 1.5.1 adds some additional functionality to the ozone and visibility tests and also corrects several bugs. The changes are documented here: version 1.5.1 change log This version performs the ozone and visibility tests outlined in the modeling guidance. The PM2.5 attainment tests are not currently implemented. An updated version (which includes the PM2.5 attainment test) is currently in beta testing and will be posted when available. Note that default PM2.5 ambient data sets are included in this installer package even though the PM2.5 attainment test is not yet implemeted. The PM2.5 files will be used in later versions.

If a previous version of MATS is installed, please uninstall the old version before installing the new version.
