National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Comments

EPA Comments on Major Federal Projects in the Watershed

EPA has a unique responsibility under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Section 309 of thre Clean Air Act to review and comment on Environmental Impact Statements (EISs), which analyze and disclose impacts of major federal actions to communities and natural resources. EPA's NEPA comments are part of the public record. Listed below are projects in the San Francisco Bay Delta Watershed which EPA has reviewed under NEPA. In some cases, EPA also serves as a cooperating agency, assisting in aspects of environmental review and analysis relevant to EPA's expertise and juridictional interests.
