Climate Leaders Webinar: June 3, 2009
On June 3, 2009 from 1-2:15pm EST, Climate Leaders co-hosted a Webinar with EPA’s Green Power Partnership, a voluntary program that supports the organizational procurement of green power by offering expert advice, technical support, tools, and resources.
The Webinar addressed opportunities for implementing on-site wind and solar energy to reduce a company’s greenhouse gas emissions.
First, Blaine Collison, Director, EPA’s Green Power Partnership, discussed implementing various models of on-site solar or wind energy is most appropriate for different types of companies.
Then, Sharon Im-Lee, Project Manager for Energy & Utilities at REI, presented a case study of the company's project and lessons learned, including the business case for REI to install on-site solar photovoltaic arrays.
Finally, Jed Richardson, Site Manager for Johnson & Johnson, presented an overview of the company’s solar installations and reasons why Johnson & Johnson pursued its solar projects.
