Reasons for Joining Climate Leaders
3Degrees joined Climate Leaders to ensure our adherence to the best practices of greenhouse gas reduction protocols and to support the program that has been embraced by so many of our business partners.
GHG Reductions Before Joining Climate Leaders
3Degrees, formerly the Utility Partnerships Division of 3Phases Energy, has informally tracked and offset its emissions associated with electricity, air travel, business travel, and commuting since 2004.

Projects Supported Renewable Energy Certificates: 3Degrees will be purchasing Green-e Certified® renewable energy certificates from the Stateline Wind Energy Center. The Stateline Wind Energy Center is on farm land currently used for dryland wheat and cattle grazing. Agricultural activities take place directly adjacent to the wind turbine foundation pads. Stateline creates enough wholesale electricity to power some 70,000 households—making it the largest single wind farm in the US.

Carbon Offsets: 3Degrees will be offsetting its carbon from a coal mine methane capture project.
