Superfund Decision Document
Decision documents serve to provide the reasoning for the choice of or changes to a Superfund Site cleanup plan. Decision documents include: Records of Decision (ROD), ROD Amendments, Explanations of Significant Differences (ESD), along with other associated memos and files.
Records of Decision
Contains the full Records of Decision (RODs) for most
Superfund sites. Also contains many of the ROD Amendments and Explanations
of Significant Differences for the more recent site decisions.
Record of
Decision (ROD)-of-the-Year Contest
Begun in 1999, The ROD-of-the-Year is selected by a panel of Headquarters and
Regional EPA staff. Selection is based on clear documentation
that is consistent with the Superfund Program's policy and regulations and is
not based on an evaluation of the selected remedy. Winning RODs and superior writing
collections are presented on this Web page.
