Photos - Contaminated Soil
EPA is prepared to respond to an emergency anywhere and at any time, whether it is leaking drums, a transportation accident, explosions or fires involving potentially hazardous materials, or illegally dumped chemicals. EPA initiates removal actions at long term Superfund sites to address immediate threats to health or the environment. For example, heavy equipment is used to remove contaminated soils from a site. |
