In-Depth Case Studies
Installation of solar panels at Aerojet General Corporation Superfund site.
Reuse at the South Point Plant Superfund site.
SRI’s in-depth case studies explore Superfund reuse stories from start to finish. Their purpose is to see what redevelopment strategies worked, acknowledge reuse barriers and understand how communities overcame the barriers to create new reuse outcomes. The case studies identify innovative tools and approaches such as green remediation, renewable energy, smart growth and ecological revitalization. Each case study concludes with important lessons learned that may help other communities interested in reusing Superfund sites.
