Federal Register Notice: September 8, 1983Conditions at listing (December 1982): The Murray-Ohio Dump near Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, has been receiving company wastes since 1964, including electroplating sludge and paint wastes. Ground water beneath the site and a tributary of Shoal Creek are contaminated with chromium.
Status (July 1983): The State is trying to bring the site into compliance with the Tennessee Hazardous Waste Management Act, although no deadline for compliance has been set.
