Questions and Answers

Is the river a discontinuity for aquifer A? For aquifer B?

For aquifer A, yes; for aquifer B, no. Suppose there are two wells on the side of the river opposite the source. One is screened in aquifer A, and the other in aquifer B. The targets associated with the aquifer A well would not get counted, while the targets drinking from the aquifer B well would.
