West Central Municipal Conference Makes $297,000 Loan to Clean Up the Former Verlare Dry Cleaner Property |
On March 18, 2003, the West Central Municipal Conference loaned $297,000 to the City of Northlake, Illinois to assist with cleanup costs associated with the former Verlare Dry Cleaner property. This loan was made possible through a $350,000 EPA Brownfields Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) grant awarded to the West Central Municipal Conference in September 1997. Cleanup activities addressed the presence of an underground storage tank (UST) on the property and were completed in March 2005.
