In September 2001, the National Brownfields 2001 Conference was held in Chicago. This highly successful conference again provided a broad range of sessions, booths, and resources on Brownfields. Over 3000 representatives from Federal, State and Local Governments, professional and industrial associations, consulting firms, community groups, the regulated community, and academia attended the event. EPA presented two sessions on RCRA Brownfields. The proceedings of Brownfields 2001 as well as several of the papers

Elizabeth A. Cotsworth (Director, Office of Solid Waste) presented a national perspective on RCRA Brownfields and RCRA Reforms and tools to support Brownfields Prevention. Matthew Hoagland (Region 1) presented the RCRA Brownfield Pilots.
