Ecological/Recreational Reuse of RCRA Sites

There have been several activities related to ecological and recreational reuse of RCRA sites.

Cooperative Work with the Wildlife Habitat Council
    EPA has had a cooperative agreement with the Wildlife Habitat Council for 2004-2005. Under this agreement, the Wildlife Habitat Council has worked with EPA and other stakeholders to develop the following meetings. 2002 RCRA Site Manager's Internet Forum on Ecological Reuse of RCRA Sites
On December 3, 2002, EPA held a RCRA Site Managers' Internet Forum which presented case studies of ecological and/or recreational reuse at RCRA sites. Participants (which included EPA and State RCRA staff) had an opportunity to talk first hand with EPA and industry representatives about the process and issues they experienced trying to implement ecological and recreational reuse at a RCRA site.
