About the Innovation, Partnerships, and Communication Office (IPCO)
In an effort to accelerate the pace of environmental protection through innovation and collaboration, the Innovation, Partnerships, and Communication Office (IPCO) provides leadership in three critical areas:
- Building capacity for innovative problem solving;
- Promoting and supporting the involvement of states, tribes, and the public in EPA decision-making; and
- Providing short and long-range strategic communications planning.
Innovation
IPCO’s Innovation Program seeks out the newest strategies and technologies in waste minimization, energy recovery, recycling, land revitalization, and homeland security. The Innovations Program tests new ideas and inventions in these areas by supporting pilot projects that demonstrate creative solutions to environmental challenges.
