One Cleanup Program Issues Report on Long-Term Stewardship of Revitalized Sites
November 1 - The One Cleanup Program (OCP) in the Land Revitalization Office is generating momentum for cross-OSWER efforts to return contaminated land to safe and beneficial uses. In September, the Long-Term Stewardship (LTS) Task Force, one of three created under the OCP, completed the attached report and recommendations. The Task Force examined the wide spectrum of LTS issues and recommended activities for EPA to consider as part of its efforts to ensure that sites remain protected long after revitalization. The report serves as a starting point for developing long-term safety policy mechanisms for all cleanup sites.
