Kentucky has not yet been granted state program approval (SPA). Six of the eight states in Region 4 have approved programs.

Number of confirmed releases	13,699 (national total: 474,127)
Number of cleanups completed	11,384 (national total: 365,361)
Number of cleanups in backlog to be completed	2,315 (national total: 108,766)

Percent of facilities in significant operational compliance with:

	Release prevention requirements	57%
	Release detection requirements	61%
	Both prevention and release detection requirements	41%
