Underground Storage Tanks

New Hampshire was granted state program approval (SPA) in 1991. All six states in Region 1 have approved programs. Region 1 was the second Region to have all of its states achieve SPA.

Number of cleanups completed	1,519 (national total: 365,361)
Number of cleanups in backlog to be completed	800 (national total: 108,766)

Percent of facilities in significant operational compliance with:

	Release prevention requirements	68%
	Release detection requirements	67%
	Both prevention and release detection requirements	52%
