State Utility (UTIL) for Reporting Year 2003

UTIL 2003 has been developed to assist users needing to assemble and migrate TRI submission data from disks and hard-copy submissions to other database applications. This year's release was produced from last year's RY2002 software, adding in the new fields on the FORM R, per the specifications ofthe RY2003 Mag Media format.

Features

• View the names of the facilities and chemicals reported in the ATRS database,
• Print a list of Form R and Form A reports that are contained on a submission diskette, and,
• Export all submissions from the ATRS database into 3 database tables.

All database files created by UTIL are in standard dBASE (.dbf) format. These files are readily accessible by dBASE versions III and higher, as well as by other software packages that read ‘.dbf' files.

To Uninstall - Delete the installation directory - that's it!

Known Issues

• There's an intermittent problem with users of Windows XP and Windows2000 not being able to see the results of the "view disk contents" button residing with the import function. Review of this issue is ongoing. The decision was made to leave the button as is for use by those people who have functionality. It is our hope to try to resolve this issue. A service release will be posted when it is corrected.
• For programmers and DBA's and people who run thier own databases, please review the mag media format document for RY2003. This contains the list of the 14 new fields added to the Form R.
• For people using machines that do not have floppy disk drives. Due to time constraints, UTIl 2003 was released without addressing this problem. This will be addressed during upcoming service releases.
