TRI data and information are made available in a number of ways to assist the widest range of users. In addition, raw data is available by request on CD.
Early Public Availability of TRI Reports
In response to requests to make the TRI data available to the public sooner, the EPA has launched its first electronic Facility Data Release (e-FDR). The TRI Reporting Year (RY) 2003 data can be viewed on a form-by-form, facility-by-facility basis. The e-FDR is available through EPA’s Envirofacts database.TRI Explorer
TRI Explorer is a searchable online database which lets users quickly get information about releases and transfers and other waste management activities - no database knowledge required!

The annual TRI Public Data Release includes: a general overview of that year's TRI data and information on trends; State Fact Sheets that provide a brief summary of the TRI data by State; and, downloadable data files containing TRI reports submitted for the reporting year.

TRI State Data Files and Factsheets
Part of each Public Data Release (above), the TRI State Data Files are sets of files containing all data submitted to the Toxic Chemical Release Inventory by facilities located in a selected state for a specific year. The data has been extracted from the Toxics Release Inventory System (TRIS).
The state fact sheets summarize the basic Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) data for each state. TRI State fact sheets are available below for RY1996 - RY 2001. State factsheets beyond RY 2001 are available on the TRI explorer web page.
