Tribal Training

This section provides information on how to obtain compliance assurance and enforcement training, as well as training in a wide array of environmental media areas. Training opportunities offered by EPA, tribal and state organizations, and non-governmental entities ar provided. Increasing the number of tribal environmental professionals trained in compliance assistance, inspections, and enforcement is a key element of EPA's Enforcement and Compliance Assurance Priority in Indian country. EPA's National Enforcement Training Institute's Exit EPA Disclaimer online training resource site provides access to NETI course registration, training products, online classrooms, and e-mail updates.

EPA's Air Pollution Training Institute provides technical air pollution training in classroom, telecourse, self-instruction, and web-based formats.

EPA's Drinking Water Academy (DWA) provides classroom and Web-based training to implement the Safe Drinking Water Act. Topics covered include National Primary Drinking Water Regulation, Public Water System Operation, Public Water System Supervision (PWSS) Program, Safe Drinking Water Act, Source Water Protection (SWP) Program, and Underground Injection Control (UIC) Program.

EPA's Integrated Pest Management in Schools training provides resources designed to encourage school officials to adopt IPM practices to reduce children's exposure to pesticides.

EPA's Underground Storage Tank Training virtual classroom provides a cost effective, core-curriculum training to UST inspectors and staff, as well as others interested in learning about USTs.
