Form R Part 1, Section 3 Certification statement on HTML Form Rs display the text for the Form A certification statement.

When a user previews a Form R as an HTML file using the Print/Share Draft Forms option from the File or Reports menus, the certification statement displayed is actually the Form A certification statement instead of the Form R certification statement. This HTML Form R is also transmitted to Central Data Exchange (CDX) along with the data being submitted. When the preparer or the certifying official reviews a Form R being submitted from the CDX Web pages, they see the Form A certification statement instead of the Form R certification statement. Form A HTML forms display the correct certification statement in all cases. All data submitted is correct and the certification performed using the CDX interface is valid.

Detailed Description

The HTML Form R displays the following incorrect certification statement (corresponds to a Form A):

"I hereby certify that to the best of my knowledge and belief, for each toxic chemical listed in the statement, the annual reportable amount as defined in 40 CFR 372.27 (a), did not exceed 500 pounds for this reporting year and the chemical was manufactured, processed, or otherwise used in an amount not exceeding 1 million pounds during this reporting year."

The HTML Form R should display the following Form R certification statement:

"I hereby certify that I have reviewed the attached documents and that, to the best of my knowledge and belief, the submitted information is true and complete and that the amounts and values in this report are accurate based on reasonable estimates using data available to the preparers of this report."

Solution

In order to view the proper Form R certification statement when previewing Form Rs from within TRI-ME RY2002, install the TRI-ME RY2002 Service Release 1.

In order to be able to preview the proper Form R certification statement when previewing Form Rs via the CDX Web site, cancel any previous Form R submissions to CDX. Install the TRI-ME RY2002 Service Release 1 and resubmit to CDX.
