TRS Transitioning to the Environmental
Terminology System and Services: EPA is phasing in a new terminology
management system and offering associated services which will enable Agency
programs to create glossaries, thesauri, taxonomies and keywords for drop
down menus. The ETSS is available to
developers of terminology now (for login and training information, contact
the ETSS Administrator) and will be
available to the public for search and retrieval by the end of 2007. Until
the ETSS Search and Retrieve functionality is available to the public, the
TRS will continue to provide access to Agency terminology.
The Terminology Reference System (TRS) has
been created as a single resource of environmental terminology for the
Agency by compiling collections of terms from EPA and other sources.

list of all terms beginning with that letter or number. Other ways to query
TRS information may be found on the Search page.
