Method 305 Bulletin

     Method 305, which is cited in the Hazardous Organic NESHAP
(HON) rule, was promulgated April 22, 1994.  The method allows
the use of any sampling and analytical technique, as long as the
recovery criteria cited in the Method are met.  The Emission
Measurement Center is developing sampling and analytical
techniques which meet the requirements of Method 305 for the
compounds cited in the HON rule.  A table of the 108 HON
wastewater compounds, the theoretical sampling techniques which
the literature suggests could be used for that compound, and the
results (if any) which were seen in the laboratory is now
available on the EMTIC BBS.  IMPORTANT NOTE:  THE INFORMATION IN
THESE TABLES IS ONLY A SUGGESTION, NOT A REQUIREMENT, AND THE USE
OF THE TECHNIQUES CITED IN THESE TABLES DOES NOT EXEMPT THE USER
