Important Information Concerning ETS/CEM Data

Information provided for informational purposes only Note: EPA no longer updates this information, but it may be useful for historical purposes.

Please note the following caveats concerning the ETS/CEM Data Summaries:

Bullet

The raw data are hourly and at the monitor level.  These data were processed and allocated to the boiler-level as best possible based on reported plant configurations.

Bullet

Data aggregated to the annual level may not be equivalent to EPA's Scorecard data because of differing reporting requirements and methodology.

Bullet

Data which are clearly reported incorrectly will appear as missing data subject to the additional caveats below.

Bullet

Heat input and NOx rate are the base data, NOx emissions are calculated from these data elements.

Bullet

If no data are reported for an entire month, that month will not be included on the hourly summary pages.

Bullet

If no data (heat input or NOx rate) are reported for a day, then the hourly values will appear as blanks.

Bullet

If heat input is reported, but not NOx rate, then the hourly NOx rate and NOx emissions data will appear as zero.

Bullet

If NOx rate is reported, but not heat input, then the hourly heat input and NOx emissions data will appear as zero.

Refer to the Overview for background information on the ETS/CEM Data.
