| Abstract: The EPA is issuing a series of guidance memoranda during 1998 for States to use in planning for the revised ground-level ozone and particulate matter air quality standards. The governors should submit their recommendations for nonattainment area designations for ozone by July 1999, PM2.5 within 1 yr. after receipt of 3 yrs. of air quality data, expected to be available in 2002-2003; recommendations for PM10 by July 1998. Designations for ozone will occur in July 2000; PM2.5 in 2004-2005 & PM10 by July 2000. |
