| Abstract: When the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals remanded EPA's 1997 8-hour ozone standard in May 1999, the Court directed the Agency to consider the potential beneficial effects of ground-level ozone pollution in shielding the public from potentially harmful radiation from the sun. This notice is EPA's proposed response to the remand. This notice does not address other aspects of the court's remand that are on appeal with the U.S. Supreme Court. |
