Abstract:
The PM2.5 designations guidance outlines how states and tribes should determine appropriate boundaries for attainment and nonattainment areas for purposes of implementing the national air quality standards for fine particles. The timeline for the designations process calls for States and Tribes to submit their recommendations to EPA by February 15, 2004. EPA intends to issue final area designations by December 15, 2004.
