Abstract: The draft document, "Particulate Matter Health Risk Assessment for Selected Urban Areas: Draft Report," describes the methodology and resulting quantitative risk estimates associated with three different particulate matter (PM) air quality indicators associated with a recent year of air quality and with just meeting the current fine particle national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS)for several urban areas in the United States. This analysis is part of the periodic review of the NAAQS for PM that is being conducted under sections 108 and 109 of the Clean Air Act.
