Abstract: As required under the Clean Air Act, the periodic review of the national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS) for particulate matter (PM) is now underway. EPA is now releasing a preliminary draft PM Staff Paper for public and peer review. Chapter 5 of the preliminary draft Staff Paper includes preliminary assessments of scientific and technical information and proposed future analyses or assessments of visibility data or information. This file includes photographic representations of visual air quality for a series of fine particle concentrations in Chicago, IL.
