Abstract: EPA is announcing the schedule for responding to the court's remand of the Agency's final decision on the national ambient air quality standards (NAAQS) for sulfur dioxide (SO2) that EPA published on May 22, 1996, and the schedule under which EPA plans to take any final action on the State-administered Intervention Level Program to address short-term (5-minute) peaks of SO2 in localized situations.
