Abstract: In the preamble to the final petroleum refinery NESHAP, which was published in the Federal Register on August 18, 1995, EPA committed to continue to work with the industry and other interested parties to reduce the monitoring, recordkeeping and reporting (MRR) burden associated with the rule. This action will reduce the annual MRR burden. The amendments do not alter provisions necessary to ensure compliance with the control requirements, or alter the applicability, stringency, and schedule of the petroleum refinery NESHAP or other EPA rules.
